Local residents can be tested for the Coronavirus this week.
The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) is providing free Coronavirus testing at 9608 Grant Avenue in Manassas, according to a release from the City of Manassas.
Anyone who has symptoms of the Coronavirus — such as fever, muscle pain, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, and sore throat — may receive the test.
It will be available rain or shine between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., Wednesday through Friday.
“Testing in our community is of utmost importance,” Mayor Hal Parrish said in a release. “We care about our community and want to help in any way we can during this pandemic. It is my hope that with increased testing and getting our residents the healthcare they need, we can help to defeat this virus and work towards a healthy tomorrow.”
The Prince William Health District (PWHD) will reach out to test participants about their results in two to three days. Individuals who have a positive test result are going to receive additional information about how they can take care of themselves and family members.
