Businesses and individuals can kick off the Fourth of July celebrations by participating in a local parade.
Dale City Fourth of July Parade applications are being accepted until June 15.
“Please join us, as we continue a Dale City time honored tradition in celebrating our country’s birthday,” a letter from the parade committee stated.
The parade starts at 10 a.m. at the intersection of Dale Boulevard and Kirkdale Road. The line-up will occur at 9 a.m.
Applications should be mailed to the Dale City Parade Committee, P.O. Box 1822, Dale City, VA 22195.
A $25 fee will be charged for applications submitted after the June 15 deadline.

Following the parade, a Family Fun Day is taking place at the Dale City Commuter Lot until 2 p.m.
Games, crafts, entertainment and food will be offered.
