Those struggling to make ends meet can gain some relief.
For the Love of Others, a non-profit that aims to feed the hungry, and Stepping with Leaders are opening a food pantry.
Food and household products can be picked up at 3081 Golansky Boulevard in Woodbridge or 311 Glover Street in Fredericksburg.
The grand opening starts at 3 p.m. on Monday.
“If you are in need, please come out and allow us to bless you,” For the Love of Others Owner Lauren Puryear said. “You do not need any qualifying information or identification.”
Puryear founded For the Love of Others in honor of her grandmother seven years ago.
By May 2017, it had fed more than 32,000 people through extreme couponing.
More programs will be hosted in the future, according to Stepping with Leaders Owner and Golston Real Estate Associate Broker Januari Coates.
“These events will happen once a month and we’ll have it on various outlets for you guys to know where and when the future food pantries will take place,” Coates said.
