Families are receiving the food they need for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Local schools are collecting non-perishable items for the Operation Turkey food drive.
Until November 3, community members may bring the donations to participating sites, according to a release from Prince William County Public Sch.
The food is going to Action in Community Through Service (ACTS) and Northern Virginia Family Services (NVFS), which will distribute it to families.
