Wet weather ahead for the Prince William area.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Flash Flood Watch for the area for 2 p.m. today through tomorrow afternoon.
NWS stated that weather moving through the area could bring in three or more inches of rain, and thunderstorms could also happen.
“Heavy rainfall may result in rapid rises in streams and creeks. This could quickly result in flooding…especially in low lying and poor drainage areas,” stated NWS.
Scattered thunderstorms could also produce “gusty winds” according to NWS.
