Looking for a healthy way to ring in the new year?
Get to Leesylvania State Park on January 1 for their First Day Hikes.
According to a release, there will be two guided hikes at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. at the park.
The 90-minute hikes will be led by former park staff Brendon Hanafin and Jim Klakowicz.
The hikes will begin with a quick tour of the park’s history museum and a viewing of a program on Leesylvania. Then hikers will be led down the Potomac Trail to Freestone Point, then through Lee’s Woods Trail and back to the Visitor’s Center.
