Fighting fires isn’t the only way the Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue (PWCDFR) is serving the community.
On Sunday, career firefighters from Station 18 in Dale City cut up and removed a tree that was blocking a road and sidewalk in the Villas Of Trentdale.
Officials had received a non-emergency call from a citizen, who said they had a problem, according to firefighter Stanley Helstowski.
“They dispatched us, and we came out here to try to help them out, like what we’re here to do,” Helstowski explained.
