Rescue Engine 521 at the Greater Manassas Volunteer Rescue Squad (GMVRS) now has equipment that will allow emergency personnel to use lifesaving procedures before an ambulance arrives
It’s the first rig in the fire and rescue system to provide ALS care, according to a release.
Nearly 6,400 service calls and more than 11,200 unit responses occurred last year. About half of patients need advanced support.
