Produce, entertainment and goat yoga will soon be offered just outside the Potomac Mills Mall.
The Farmer’s Market Woodbridge will be opening on April 21. The market, which will run until October 27, will take place in the commuter parking lot near The Cheesecake Factory.
Unlike many area markets, the Farmer’s Market Woodbridge will be offered on Saturdays.
“People who attend church on Sundays are able to attend our Saturday markets, because the hours are a little more flexible for them,” Market Manager Christina (“Chrissy”) Randolph said. “But one thing that I think is really exciting that we offer that really no other area markets offer is that we’re pet friendly.”
Many local farms and businesses will be selling various products, including coffee and produce.
“I’m excited, because Chrissy has this amazing energy, and I’m all about supporting local businesses and small businesses,” Farmers Market Owner Alice Sevivas said. “And we have such a diverse community here in Woodbridge, and there’s a lot of great mom and pop businesses that are just looking to just get out there in the community.”
The farmer’s market, which will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., will offer more than just food and beverages.
“It’s about the community,” Randolph said. “It’s about bringing people together for socializing.”
