Do you want to learn more about your family history?
This month, various programs are taking place at the Ruth E. Lloyd Information Center (RELIC).
RELIC offers genealogical resources and is housed in the Bull Run Regional Library, 8051 Ashton Avenue in Manassas, according to a release from Prince William County.
A talk that will teach participants about a resource that can help them discover records is among the events being offered. It’s scheduled for 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday.
From 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on September 19, community members will learn about how genetic testing and genealogy can be used to understand medical histories.
“George Mason: The Statesman,” an event that’s occurring between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on September 26, will focus on why George Mason authored the Declaration of Rights and didn’t sign the Constitution.
You can learn more about the upcoming events and register for them by calling 703-792-4540 or emailing relic2@pwcgov.org.
