ONE MORE FOR THE ROAD, BANDIT.
To honor the passing of screen legend and cultural icon Burt Reynolds, we’re screening 1977’s SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT, the directorial debut of Burt’s frequent collaborator Hal Needham. A massive box-office hit, BANDIT spawned a generation of trucker comedies, and paired him with the love of his life, Sally Field. All box-office proceeds and outside donations collected from these memorial screenings will be donated to The Pioneers Assistance Fund (PAF), a program managed by the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation that provides financial aid for motion picture entertainment veterans of exhibition, distribution and trade services who are encountering an illness, transition or catastrophic event.
