Citizens have a chance to learn more about a proposed constitutional amendment.
The Prince William Committee of 100 is hosting a forum about the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) at the Wyndham Garden Hotel in Manassas on February 26.
Established 30 years ago, the Prince William Committee of 100 allows residents of Prince William County, and the cities of Manassas and Manassas Park to discuss issues and goals in a non-partisan setting.
Senator George Barker, former Virginia delegate Bob Marshall, Carol Proven from the League of Women Voters, and resident Kelly McGinn are the event panelists.
They will discuss the impact of ratifying the ERA.
Amelia May, an attorney for May Law, LLP in Fairfax will act as the moderator.
Dinner, which begins at 7 p.m., costs $30 for committee members and $35 for non-members. The forum will start at 7:45 p.m.
