The county’s new elementary school is about to open.
Officials are having a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new John D. Jenkins Elementary School. It’s being named after John Jenkins, Prince William County’s longest serving Supervisor.
A dedication ceremony for the Ernestine Jenkins Story Room will occur, as well.
Starting at 6 p.m. on August 28, the event will take place at 4060 Prince William Parkway in October.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held at the site in October 2018.
Those interested in attending the ribbon cutting ceremony are asked to RSVP by emailing rsvp@pwcs.edu by Friday.
