Do you know a teacher or principal who demonstrates leadership skills and encourages collaboration?
You can nominate them for the Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) Principal of the Year and Teacher of the Year recognitions.
Nominations must be submitted online by 11:59 p.m. on November 18, according to a release from PWCS.
Principal of the Year and Teacher of the Year candidates should have completed at least five years in their respected position, with three years spent in PWCS.
Those who are nominating principals must complete the nomination packet, which includes submitting five letters of support from a supervisor, teachers, students, parents, former students or administrators.
To be considered, principals should promote creativity and teamwork, be involved in classrooms and manage their schools in an effective way.
Individuals may nominate a teacher by submitting four letters of support.
Teacher of the Year nominees should be knowledgeable about the subject, know their students’ needs, and inspire them to learn.
Those who are selected for the PWCS Principal of the Year and Teacher of the Year are going to be considered in The Washington Post’s Principal of the Year and Teacher of the Year awards.
