The planet is being honored by a local non-profit and furniture store.
Keep Prince William Beautiful (KPWB) and IKEA Woodbridge are hosting an Earth Day event on Saturday.
KPWB is an organization that aims to encourage members of the public to help take care of the environment.
Games, prizes and activities will be offered at the program, which will be from 10 a.m. to Noon. It’s taking place at the IKEA parking garage, 2901 Potomac Mills Circle in Woodbridge.
Attendees can participate in Earth Day trivia and learn about sustainability, according to KPWB Executive Director Aleta Daniels.
“We will also have special give-aways for the first 100 families and the first 50 PWC Public School teachers that stop by, so get your masks on and come down to IKEA Woodbridge this Saturday to say hello and help us Celebrate Earth Day,” Daniels wrote in an email.
