Mary Williams Elementary School Principal Lynmara Colon has been named a top emerging leader by the National School Boards Association.
Colon is “one of the Association’s ‘20 to Watch’ from twelve states that include teachers, principals, technology directors, and superintendents,” according to a release.
The award is given to educators that are shaping the future of education technology for the next 20 years, stated a release.
Located in Dumfries, Mary Williams Elementary school “is focused on transforming education through digital learning. Staff provides high quality instruction that is student-centered and relevant, and ensures technology is accessible to all students,” stated a release.
