It’s almost time for the 10th annual Duck Splash race in Occoquan!
The event will be held on June 18 at 12 p.m. in Occoquan, and the proceeds will benefit the Patriots for Disabled Divers and the Occoquan, Woodbridge & Neabsco (O.W.N.) Optimist Club, according to a release.
A thousand numbered rubber ducks will be dropped from a bridge and will race along the Occoquan River, stated a release. Prizes will be awarded for ducks that place 1st through 10th, ranging from $20 to $500 prizes, according to a release.
Tickets to ‘adopt’ a duck are $5 per duck, and can be purchased at businesses in Occoquan, on the O.W.N. Optimist Club website, and on the day of the race, stated a release.
You do not need to be present to win.
