Local residents can help individuals who have been affected by human trafficking.
The county – in partnership with the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) – is collecting donations for “hope bags,” which are given to human trafficking survivors.
Started by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the hope bags contain an array of essential items.
Donors should email Phyllis Jennings-Holt from the Department of Social Services at pjennings@pwcgov.org for drop off details, according to an article on the county’s website.
