The Prince William Humane Society (PWHS) is seeking assistance from community members.
PWHS in Dumfries is raising funds to help a puppy.
Stan, a 6-month-old Shih Tzu, has experienced forced trauma to his face, according to Pet Care Supervisor Maria Organt.
He needs to undergo surgery to fix his jaw, which is dislocated on both sides.
“We want to give him every opportunity to correct his disfigurement and to be able to live a normal, happy, puppy life,” Organt said.
Donations can be submitted through the PWHS website.
“We greatly appreciate any donation that you can give Stan,” Organt said. “He will definitely need it.”
