An upcoming event may be enjoyed by individuals experiencing cabin fever as well as those choosing to keep their distance.
Discover Occoquan Week is being held by the Town of Occoquan and the Occoquan Merchants’ Guild.
Running between August 17 and August 23, the event will feature in-person and virtual programs, according to a release from the Town of Occoquan.
Demonstrations, workshops, and a Haunted Pub Crawl and Ghost Tour are among them.
A Facebook Live will start the Discover Occoquan event at 6 p.m. on August 17. The week will end with a showing of The Princess Pride in River Mill Park.
“Discover Occoquan Week celebrates our town businesses and community in a new and exciting way– through a combination of virtual demonstrations and workshops and in-person activities, featuring many outdoor dining opportunities,” Occoquan Event Director Julie Little said in a release. “This way, visitors can appreciate all that Occoquan has to offer, whether it’s from home or in-person.”
Those planning to participate in person are encouraged to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
