Adrian Eichorn has landed.
The decorated pilot, commercial pilot, instructor, and military veteran landed a single-engine airplane at the Manassas Regional Airport after finishing his solo trip around the world, according to a release.
According to a release, Eichorn began his journey at the Manassas Regional Airport on April 10, and it took him six weeks to make the trip.
Eichorn is now the 121st pilot to fly solo around the world, and the 114th pilot to fly around the world in a single-engine airplace, stated a release. For his journey he flew a reconfigured 1962 V-tail Beechcraft Bonanza that he fondly calls “Gina” which he purchased back in 1989, according to a release.
Over the course of his trip Eichorn visited five continents, 21 countries, used 3,150 gallons of fuel, flew 25,000 air miles and logged 225 hours in flight, stated a release.
