The Dale City Volunteer Fire Department (DCVFD) came out victorious against the Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Fire Department (OWL VFD) in their annual chili cook-off.
This is the second year that the DCVFD has won the competition, which was held at Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center in Woodbridge.
“The biggest secret reason I win is brisket and bacon. That’s the most important thing in my chili,” said DCVFD Captain Dumire.
