Community members showed up to save lives in Dale City.
A blood drive was held by the Dale City Volunteer Fire Department (DCVFD) at Station 13 on Tuesday.
“We’ve had a great turn out today,” Amy Shalawylo from DCVFD told What’s Up Prince William.
The American Red Cross is seeking donations from all blood types.
“We’re in the midst of a blood crisis and we need everybody’s help,” Dave Ross from the American Red Cross said.
More blood drives are taking place in Northern Virginia this month.
Community members can find other future events on the American Red Cross website.
“We’ll be having another one soon, so keep an eye out for the date,” Shalawylo said.
