The Dale City Civic Association (DCCA) held their first-ever fashion show to raise money for the organization’s scholarship fund.
Held on October 28, the fashion show included models showing off the latest fashions, door prizes, and a chance to interact with other individuals in the community.
Westminister at Lake Ridge provided the venue, Dress Barn provided the clothing for the fashion show, and Mike Beaty was on tap to take photos of the event.
While the final total is still being calculated, all of the funds raised will go toward DCCA’s scholarship program.
“Each year DCCA provides two to four scholarships to deserving graduating seniors in the Dale City community who have shown dedication to service within the community as well as scholastic achievement. Students must provide examples of their volunteer service as well as grade transcripts and evidence of their acceptance to college. Students are encouraged to continue to find ways to serve and develop leadership skills and to provide feedback to DCCA on their progress. Scholarship application information is provided to high schools within the Dale City area each January and Dale City students are encouraged to apply,” stated a release.
