Dale City and Woodbridge drivers have a chance to voice their opinions on two roads.
Input is needed for a Strategically Targeted Affordable Roadway Solutions (STARS) study by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
It focuses on traffic, safety and updates on Dale Boulevard – between Gideon Drive and Route 1 – and Rippon Boulevard – from Route 1 to Blackburn Road.
According to a release from VDOT, the stretch on Dale Boulevard sees a daily average of about 42,000 vehicles. About 12,000 vehicles use Rippon Boulevard.
Members of the public may provide feedback through an online survey that’s available until July 20. It can be completed in various languages, including Spanish.
Officials are accepting responses through email and mail, as well. Input should be emailed to meetingcomments@vdot.virginia.gov or mailed to: Mr. Kobina Gaituah, Virginia Department of Transportation, 4975 Alliance Drive, Fairfax, VA 22030.
VDOT is planning to wrap up the study in summer 2024.
