Community members have a chance to protect children who are walking to and from school.
The Prince William County Police Department (PWCPD) is hiring part-time School Crossing Guards for Dale City, Dumfries, Lake Ridge and Woodbridge locations.
Crossing guards guide pedestrians and direct traffic.
Chosen applicants will gain training, paid leave and uniforms, according to a release from the police department.
To be considered, individuals must have a valid driver’s license and finish field training.
They should also pass a Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) record check and have experience in operating vehicles.
