Steamed crabs will be arriving in Gainesville next month.
On August 17, the Prince William County Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. (PWCAC DST) is running a Crab Festival.
The annual event will occur at The Winery at Sunshine Ridge Farm, 15850 Sunshine Ridge Lane, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
In addition to crabs, attendees may check out vendors and food trucks, according to a release from the sorority. A cash bar and music will be offered, as well.
Different ticket options and packages that range from $50 to $900 are available. They can be purchased through eventbrite.
The proceeds are supporting programs and scholarships for high school seniors. Local students received $60,000 in scholarships from the sorority this past May.
