The search for the Prince William County School Board’s next student representative has begun.
Applications for its student representative and two alternates are being accepted.
Student representatives are responsible for attending meetings, seeking suggestions and concerns from students, and letting their peers know about decisions the board makes.
Rising juniors and seniors who live in the county may apply for the position until 5 p.m. on Thursday.
Applications may be submitted online.
Candidates can also download the application and submit it to their school’s Social Studies Department Chairperson, or the Kelly Leadership Center, 14715 Bristow Road, Manassas, VA, Attn: Mollie Rosenburg — Communications.
The selected finalists will write a proctored essay, participate in an interview, and turn in a parent consent form.
