More progress has been made on River Mill Park in Occoquan.
According to the Town of Occoquan website, restrooms and storages facilities for the park are currently being constructed. During this phase of construction, the footbridge will be closed intermittently while workers install utilities and lighting fixtures, as well as replacing the bridge’s railing and chain link fence, stated the Town of Occoquan website.
This improvements are scheduled to be completed by the end of this year, but the River Mill Park will not be open until Spring 2016, according to the Town of Occoquan website.
During the final phase of construction, a pavilion, looped trail, lighting and greenery will be added.
