The Woodbridge Rotary Club welcomed Congressman Gerry Connolly at their meeting this afternoon.
Connolly attended the meeting to celebrate the Woodbridge Rotary Club’s 50th anniversary, and bestow a Congressional Record proclamation to commemorate the anniversary.
During the meeting, Connolly spoke with Rotarians about changes in the House of Representatives, and gave information
on what it’s like serving in the United States Congress.
According to Woodbridge Rotary member Darcy Tillman, it was an honor for the club to receive the Congressional Record proclamation.
“It’s exciting to be recognized for the 50 years that the Woodbridge Rotary Club has served in the Woodbridge area. It’s an affirmation of what has been. And we as a club are excited to be able to make a difference in the community,” Tillman said.
