On May 6, Jay Allen from season 22 of the show will be performing in Concert For A Cure.
Tribute at the Glen, a retirement community in Woodbridge, is hosting the event. It starts at 7 p.m. at The Salisbury Center, 8890 Mathis Avenue in Manassas. The doors open at 6 p.m.
Tickets cost $30 each, with the proceeds supporting the Alzheimer’s Association, which seeks to end Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. The goal is to raise $50,000.
Community members may purchase Concert For A Cure tickets through eventbrite. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
Those interested in serving as a sponsor may reach out to Tribute at The Glen Community Relations Director Michelle Mindock at michelle.mindock@tributeattheglen.com. Silent auction items are being accepted, as well.
Allen wrote the song “Blank Stares” in honor of his mom, who had Alzheimer’s. The singer supports the Alzheimer’s Association by touring across the United States.
