Members of local churches are serving their community.
Individuals from Korean Mustard Seed Congregation, Lutheran Church of the Covenant (LCOC), and Iglesia Palabra Vida participated in a God’s Work/Our Hands Day.
Held on September 8, the Dale City event featured a worship service and community service projects.
Participants cleaned up Cloverdale Road and decorated bags of after school snacks for children who live in shelters run by Action in Community Through Service (ACTS).
They also organized boxes of household supplies that were donated to the shelters.
“It was an amazing day all around, full of fun and spirit, while making a difference,” LCOC Council Member Patti Beattie said in an email.
