Music, conversations and the smell of food was found in communities across the country on Tuesday evening.
County residents and emergency personnel enjoyed food and activities at National Night Out events that were held in neighborhoods, cities and towns.
The annual program allows community members to form positive relationships with law enforcement.
Local officials also participated in National Night Out.
Westminster At Lake Ridge was one site Supervisors Victor Angry and Ruth Anderson visited.
“This is something that’s very special in Prince William County is we have such fabulous relationships between the people who live here and the people who protect us,” Anderson said.
