A Woodbridge non-profit is in the running for additional funding.
The Prince William County Community Foundation (PWCCF) is one of 200 organizations being considered for a $25,000 grant from State Farm, according to a release from PWCCF.
PWCCF, a non-profit that was founded in 2018, seeks to establish healthy communities.
Through its Combating Hunger on Wheels (C.H.O.W.) Wagon program, the community foundation aims to address hunger. It has fed 4,400 families since March.
“A $25,000 award would mean the opportunity to expand our C.H.O.W. Wagon services to more communities, as well as help feed approximately 10,000 children and families,” PWCCF President & CEO Vanessa Gattis said in a release.
Community members can help support PWCCF by voting for it on the State Farm Neighborhood Assist website. Voting ends on Friday.
