Broadband and digital devices are the focus of two upcoming community forums.
Bridging the Digital Divide meetings have been scheduled by People Incorporated within the next couple of weeks, according to a release from the organization.
The community forums will take place on these days:
- May 23, 3:30 p.m.
- Potomac Library, 2201 Opitz Boulevard in Woodbridge
- June 1, 6:30 p.m.
- Manassas Park Community Center, 99 Adams Street
Members of the public may discuss any obstacles in regards to obtaining technology and broadband. Officials are using this input to create a Commonwealth Opportunity Plan.
Food and the chance to win a raffle prize are other features of the programs.
“This is the first step in an effort to collect data and feedback from community members about their experiences accessing internet and digital devices like computers, smartphones, and more,” People Incorporated Vice President for Planning & Evaluation Kelli Smith said in a release.
It’s recommended that those planning to attend register through the registration page on the People Inc. website.
