Can Prince William County protect itself from an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack? That’s what the Committee of 100 wants to talk about.
According to a 2004 report from the ‘National Commission to Assess the Threat to the U.S. From An EMP Attack’, someone does not need to be highly technologically sophisticated to launch an EMP attack, and EMP attacks would cause critical damage to our infrastructure.
The Committee of 100 is hosting a dinner and panel program to talk about EMP attacks, and what it means for Prince William County on February 23.
The event will be held at the Wyndham Garden Hotel at 10800 Vandor Lane in Manassas. Dinner will begin at 7 p.m. and the program will begin at 7:45 p.m.
