As part of Dr. Bo Zhang’s historic world flight, he landed briefly at the Manassas Regional Airport last Saturday.
According to a release, Zhang is taking the first world flight beginning and ending in China in a single engine aircraft.
Zhang began his flight in Beijing 12 days ago, and he plans to make 49 stops in 20 countries during his planned 2-month journey, stated a release.
When Zhang landed at the Manassas Regional Airport he was greeted by embassy officials and a percussion band, according to a release.
“This is the second single engine around the world flight to land at Manassas Regional Airport this year. In June, Adrian Eichhorn finished his single engine solo trip around the world at the Manassas Airport,” stated a release.
