This week is national Boys & Girls Club Week, and the clubs in Prince William are ready to celebrate.
According to the Boys & Girls Club of America’s website, the celebration runs from March 7 through March 12, and will include special events for the children.
“National Boys & Girls Club Week is designed to help raise awareness of the Clubs as well as the need youth programs during out-of-school time,” stated Carolyn Brodeur, spokeswoman for the Prince William County Boys & Girls Clubs.
The special events will be held all week, and will vary by club, according to Brodeur.
One goal of Boys & Girls Club Week is to get members of the community into the clubs, and learn about why it’s a good cause to support.
“This is a great opportunity to bring potential donors, supporters or board members to the Clubs for a tour,” stated Brodeur.
