Aaargh you ready to take part in the Greater Washington Boys & Girls Clubs’ ‘Pirate Pursuit’ rubber duck race?
The duck race will be held on August 20 at Splashdown Waterpark at 7500 Ben Lomond Park Drive in Manassas.
During the race, 5,000 rubber pirate ducks will be set free in the waterpark’s lazy river, where they’ll do a two lap race. The first ten ducks to cross the finish line will win one of many prizes. Pirate ducks can also be captured for a $5 donation.
Prizes include a two night stay at the Courtyard Marriot, two free weeks of summer camp, a Splashdown Waterpark prize pack, a tablet, a Fitbit, a Gold’s Gym membership, personal training sessions, International Spy Museum passes, and more.
Tickets to attend the event are $14 each. Each pirate duck for the race costs $5, ten ducks is $45, and 20 ducks is $90. All proceeds go to benefit Boys & Girls Club’s programs.
