Community members will be coming together to celebrate with local mentors and mentees.
Members of the Prince William County/Manassas Boys & Girls Club are partnered with local leaders every year.
The youth receive support through the six-week mentorship program, which wraps up with The Great Big Kid Event.
This year’s fundraiser has been scheduled for October 14. It will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Hylton Boys & Girls Club, 5070 Dale Boulevard in Dale City.
Tickets can be purchased on the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington website.
Proceeds are going to support the non-profit.

The Prince William County/Manassas Boys & Girls Club has three branches – Dale City, Dumfries and Manassas that offer kids a safe place to go before and after school, and during the summer.
They provide a variety of programs that range from sports activities, to help with homework and Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM).
There are also summer camps, which are more affordable than other camps and activities in the county. The club fees are very low, but no child is turned away if they are unable to pay.
Many opportunities for personal growth are available, including scholarships for college.
“We have been supporting the Boys & Girls Clubs for many years because it’s one of the only places where a large group of kids in our community – no matter where they come from – can be introduced to many different experiences,” Board Member and Steve’s Auto Repair & Tire Owner ST Billingsley said.
