Newborns are going home with their very own books.
Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center (SNVMC) in Woodbridge and Smart Beginnings Greater Prince William (SBGPW) have begun a Books4Babies program.
Offered at the hospital’s Women’s Health Center, the program provides babies with a children’s book, according to a release from SNVMC. Their parents also receive information about resources as well as a guide on developmental milestones.
The Books4Babies program has received donations from staff members at SNVMC, SNVMC Auxiliary, the Lake Ridge Rotary Club, and the community.
Those interested in contributing should make payments to SPARK, the Prince William County Schools (PWCS) Education Foundation.
To donate online, go to the SPARK website and specify “B4B – Sentara” after choosing “Add special instructions to the seller.”
Checks can be sent to SPARK, the Education Foundation for PWCS P.O. Box 389 Manassas, VA 20108, with the memo “Books4Babies – Sentara”.
