Would you like to save on gas for one day?
The Washington Area Bicycle Association and Washington Metroplitan Council are sponsoring Bike to Work Day on May 17, according to a release by Prince William County.
George Phillips, a county transportation planner, is coordinating a Bike to Work locally in Prince William County. The environmentally friendly event hopes to promote cycling throughout the DMV area.
This is a free program with pit stops set up within the area. The pit stops will have giveaways, food, and beverages.
Registration is not required, though registration enables participants to receive a free t-shirt, according to the Bike to Work Day website.
Phillips aspires for this event to “Get people out there- get on their bikes and ride more often.”
