What’s Up Prince William (WUPW.news) has been recognized by the Virginia Press Association (VPA) for the second time this year.
It recently received a Best In Show award from the organization for a multimedia report on the ACTS Thrift Store. The video and article won first place this past spring.
“We are so honored to receive this Best In Show recognition from the Virginia Press Association,” Editor Erin Jones said. “We love highlighting the many programs that non-profits are running in our community.”
Based out of Woodbridge, WUPW.news focuses on community news and local organizations. Two auto repair shops – HomeTowne Auto Repair & Tire and Steve’s Auto Repair & Tire – fund the news site, which was established in 2015.
