The Benedictine Sisters of Virginia are hosting their annual Circle of Love picnic on June 10.
The picnic will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the grounds of the monastery at 9535 Linton Hall Road in Bristow.
The “Beach Blast” themed picnic will include children’s games, a moon bounce, balloon twister, a raddle, face painting, and entertainment, according to a release.
“Burgers, hot dogs, barbeque and other summertime favorites are on the menu, prepared and served by the George Brent Council of the Knights of Columbus,” stated a release.
There will also be a “walk down Ministry Main Street” where attendees will get a “passport” and stamps for visiting different ministry tables at the picnic, for the chance to win an Amazon Echo.
“Our Circle of Love event truly widens our circle of friends. We invite our neighbors and friends to enjoy our property as a place of peace, and this event gives them a wonderful introduction to the grounds and our ministries, and most importantly, to our Sisters. It’s the perfect way to spend a summer day and provides fun and discoveries for all ages,” stated Prioress of the Benedictine Sisters Sister Cecilia Dwyer in a release.
The event is free, but donations are accepted. For more information, click here.
