Local residents who have experience with behavioral health crisis system can share their thoughts.
The Prince William County Community Services is creating a Missions Workgroup for the Marcus Alert System.
Through the workgroup, officials hope to receive feedback from community members. This input will help determine behavioral health crisis system needs.
Anyone who would like to be part of the Missions Workgroup should submit an application by April 30. For questions, email PWMarcusAlert@pwcgov.org.
Comments are also being collected through a survey until May 28. The Marcus Alert Community Survey is available online.
The Marcus Alert, which was called the Marcus-David Peters Act, became a law last year. It seeks to make sure that responses during emergencies are “health-focused and trauma-informed”.
