Rippon Lodge is hosting a sweet event to inform the community about endangered Honeybees.
The annual Bee Day is at Rippon Lodge, 15520 Blackburn Road in Woodbridge, on August 10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost of attendance is $5.
Attendees will learn about the different types of honeybees, how they live, and how they store honey. They can purchase Rippon Lodge’s personal honey from their hive in the gift shop. Vendors are going to be available to discuss what honey and wax is made of. Children have the opportunity to create bee themed crafts and win giveaways.
Participants who are allergic to bees or honey are advised to use caution if attending the event.
