Fall classes are around the corner for local adults.
BEACON for Adult Literacy is offering English and Citizenship classes.
Available in the morning or evening, they will run from August 23 through November 12. It costs $55, which includes the textbook.

The non-profit is also seeking volunteers.
Many opportunities are available, including in-person and online English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) teachers and one on one tutoring.
No experience is needed, as volunteers will receive training.

BEACON for Adult Literacy that was founded in 1992 by Sister Eileen Heaps from the Benedictine Sisters of Virginia, according to the non-profit’s website.
It assists those from the Prince William County area who are learning English.
