Arts non-profits are getting support.
The Board of County Supervisors (BOCS) allocated $193,000 in grants for 16 organizations.
They were chosen through a grant program that’s run by the Prince William County Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism (DPRT).
Six individuals are selected by the Parks and Recreation Commission to serve on an Art Grants Panel, which reviews applications and distributes the grants, according to a release from Prince William County.
Funding is being provided to the following arts non-profits:
- Asaph Dance Ensemble
- Center for the Arts
- Creative and Performing Arts Center (CAPAC)
- Lake Ridge Chorale
- Manassas Ballet Theatre
- Manassas Chorale
- Manassas Symphony Orchestra
- National Ballet
- New Dominion Choraliers
- Old Bridge Chamber Orchestra
- Prince William Little Theatre
- Shenandoah Sound
- Woodbridge Community Choir
- Woodbridge Dance Company
- Woodbridge Flute Choir
- Youth Orchestra of Prince William
