Final training sessions are underway for many of the county’s residents.
The annual IWALK for ACTS is coming up next month.
Online registration is available for the 5K, which starts at 8 a.m. on October 5.
Participants will be walking and running around Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center, 14900 Potomac Town Place in Woodbridge.

It costs $20 for adults and $5 for children who are between 5 and 12 years old.
All proceeds will benefit Action in Community Through Service (ACTS), a Dumfries-based non-profit.
After completing the course, community members may enjoy a free Family Festival that runs until 1 p.m.
