Christmas is coming.
Help is needed for children who are less fortunate.
Beginning November 1, The Salvation Army and Walmart are collecting donations for this year’s Angel Tree.
So, how does it work?
Participants choose an angel from trees that will be set up in local Walmarts and the Manassas Mall.
Using the information on the tag, they purchase clothing, toys, and other items on the wish list.
Once the shopping is complete, donors can drop off their gifts at the Walmarts. The Salvation Army will distribute them to families in need.
Community members who would like to get involved may also shop online.

The Salvation Army is also seeking bell ringers for its annual Red Kettle Campaign, which launches on November 20.
